When hotshot emergency room doctor Greg Brulotte is terribly injured in a skiing accident, he gets an up-close look at life in the hospital from a patient's point of view--and doesn't enjoy it (Frustrated nurses eventually hand him the Worst Patient of the Century award.). But while Greg's being forced to reevaluate his life, he's also falling for Lily Sullivan, the emergency room nurse whose hesitant interest in him gradually transforms into a love that has the potential to last long after his hospital stay is over.
