It seems to me that there is a major disconnect between Runcie and the folks doing the Grantchester tv movies. At the end of least yars movie season Sidney goes off to America with an african-american woman, leaving the priesthood. Yet in this book there is is in England again and no mention of any USA time. Secondly Runcie has decided to write essays as novels on social ills. When he started these books they were mysteries not that is no longer the emphasis. This book has become boring and hard to finish as a result.
