Who can you trust? Is anyone what they seem to be? Caroline's dad owns a shipyard along Sackets Harbor, New York. Caroline finds out that British spies are lurking in the area.They are looking for information or perhaps to steal an American warship, the war of 1812. when a long lost friend of Paps shows up Papa is delighted to give him a job at Abbotts shipyard.. Soon strange things are happening. Caroline is sure that a spy is making trouble at the shipyard. But is one of Pap's trusted workers who Caroline has known her whole life or is it Papa's Dear Friend?

This is a great mystery at any age.I am an adult and I loved it.
