They Disappeared is an entertaining and suspenseful (albeit farfetched) thriller than can be read in a few hours. The story is a cat and mouse game told from several points of view. I would have given it five stars except the father/husband in the story is such a meddling idiot..... if he were smarter, the book probably would have been a lot shorter, but he really is annoying.
