I loved this audiobook. The narrator, Robert Petkoff, was so entertaining, he could probably recite the phone book and make it interesting.
Peter Brown is a doctor at an old hospital in a poor part of NYC. No one there knows that he was once a hitman for the mob who went by the name of "Bear Claw." Unfortunately, one of his patients ends up being a former colleague who recognizes him immediately. The story goes from there at the fastest pace I've ever listened to. This story was really like riding a roller coaster. There are tremendous highs and also devasting lows. The last chapter of the book is not for the faint of heart due to its grisly and violent content.
Only 6 CDs so it's a short listen. Highly recommended.
