Wonderful book that is bluntly honest about an adult woman's emotional ebb and flow. Very funny in places (I laughed out loud), seriously thought-provoking in others. Some perfect little moments from real life: the girl whose husband has been using a little notebook to keep track of the number of times they have sex; the thought that maybe the process of ongoing therapy involves boring yourself so thoroughly that you eventually do something to change your life; getting the "kind of thanks that means 'please do not attempt to have a conversation with me'; a telephone conversation in which what you want to say and what you actually say are so light years apart that you wonder who is doing the talking. Speaks to the heart - and funny bone!
