Professor and author,Erdman was one of our great American historians. She wrote about Missouri history. In this story she tells how Nancy, a 16 year old orphan sets out from Missouri to reach the pioneer West. All adventures are based solidly in fact, yet are very interesting. Even todays urbane youth will enjoy this girl and her adventures. So will their parents.
