Mira, a vampire gifted with control of fire, must partner with nemesis Danaus, a vamp hunter. They are trying to stop the naturi, a powerful force (somewhat like fae) who are bent on destroying an ancient barrier between worlds. There's a bit of sexual tension between Mira and Danaus which they battle along with the naturi.
