Exceptional beginning. Kept me intrigued as to what was going on. Along the way we get to know each individual character and their backstory. The description of the amusement park is quite well done. You get the old, dilapidated, creepy feeling. There were a couple places in the book that we get to read some journals. Those parts were probably the worst for me. Just too drawn out for what little they are telling. I really felt they should either be more condensed or more explanatory. They were more like an irate teenager writing down their feelings than an adult explaining things. Then, the ending. It was good but it just wasn't spectacular. Guess I was looking for more after what everyone went through. Didn't feel a full closure to everything either. All in all, I liked the book. It kept me entertained.
