An easy, breezy read. None of the stories are very complicated and the villains are a bit Scooby Do, pretty much shaking their fists and yelling "I would have gotten away with it if it weren't for those pesky ghosts!" In other words, expect the plot to be straightforward and predictable.

If, like me, you were expecting archaeology to be more than a passing reference or a mere plot device in both stories, then you will be disappointed. Archaeology and classical studies are mentioned frequently but without any depth. They frame the story in a most shallow way. (But I studied to be an archaeologist with a focus in the classics so I may be more picky about it's depiction in literature than most.)

The second story, "A Loving Spirit," is the better written of the two that comprise this anthology. The characters are more three dimensional than in the first story, "One Touch Of Magic." It is a cute read but forgettable.
