This book was a good read. Despite the fact that the book gave very little detail regarding the characters past it was okay. This book was about a woman named Nikki Day, who didn't like relying on anyone but herself. The book began when Nikki suddenly found herself awaken in a strange hospital staring at the man who was her previous boss. A man she grew to love over the years and tried -- apparently unsuccessfully -- to put some distance between herself and her ex-boss. The story has a twist because she's pregnant with Alex's cousin's baby.

Nikki is forced to rely on Alex's help because of her medical condition and being pregnant. It doesn't help that her desire for Alex is stronger with them now temporarily living together. Their feelings for one another comes together quickly but the sudden proposal from Alex throws her off emotionally. Could she turn a proposal born of duty into one of desire?

Like I said this book is a good read and like many of the books I like, it starts off at a fast pace.
