If you like autobiography's and are not easily offended - then this book is a must read. Nikki Sixx is the powerhouse behind Motley Crue but he was also the powerhouse behind his own decline. His full throttle personality served him well on stage but sent his personal life into a living hell. His diary is self deprecating, dark, arrogant, rowdy and at times just plain sickening...but through it all he still maintained his sense of humor - I literally burst out laughing over some of his diary entries. He has this ability to write about the darkness of his drug haze and how he reached the depths of hell but in the next breath he would point out the funny irony about a certain situation. If you like Rock n Roll you will like The Heroin Diaries
