I loved Death Magic by Eileen Wilks. Even though this is the eighth book in a series, the story is fresh and engaging. The main character, Lily Wu, goes through some changes, something I like to see in a well established protagonist. The other characters have interesting moments as well. There's plenty of action and humor, but not a lot of romance this time. I'm looking forward to the wedding of Lily and Rule. Hopefully Ms. Wilks won't make their ceremony too fraught with difficulties.
