Interesting book, based on scanty record, he does better than a lot (I'm thinking of the so called "science" channel ) of telling an adventure story and pointing out uncertainty in the rather austere record. His tracking of present day geography was pretty good, except that he had Apalachee Bay off the coast of Alabama.
