For those of you familiar with Willett's novels, she creates stories set in the English countryside with compassionate and wonderful female characters. This story goes back and forth between about 1976 and 2004. It's an epic drama as most of hers are, that delves deep into the friendship of two women. It covers not only the highlights of their friendship but their loved ones, family and events during this time period. Like all of her books, it won't disappoint. It was wonderful. There's romance, sadness and great happiness. You'll be glad you read it.
