Originally published in 1924 and it won the James Tait Black Prize, if that means anything to you. A sweet little old fashioned story with some sexual suspense. Henry Earlforward, a book dealer, decides to marry Violet Arb, owner of a confectionary shop across the street from his book store. Takes place in London. Easy read.
