Oversize paperback (60 pages) full of wonderful cat pictures. A little story precedes the pictures and a cat named Mama tells how she and two cats sought shelter under a house and were found by the Onwers. He feed them and they grew healthy and strong. When winter comes they move into the house. Mama tells how they came to a truce with the people of the house. Eventually Mama is the only cat left and was terribly lonely and still could not get used to people. Then she had a litter of kittens. Eventually 2 kittens remained with Mama and she describes them and their life together in the house. The text is written for adults to read but children would enjoy the story, too. It's a delightful book.
