Young American girl, Charlotte Beck travels to England with her stepmother to visit her grandfather. While there, she pull some hilarious antics which cause her father, back in Colorado, to make serious decisions concerning her future. A future which will tie her to the boring Alex Hambly. Charlotte uses every trick in her book and finally gets her father to agree to let her go to four years of college before settling down in marriage. What ensues is a hilarious, sometimes laugh-out-loud account of a young woman who is not quite ready to grow up.

The reader cant help but feel sorry for Alex and I quickly grew to love his responsible mannerisms and gentlemanly behavior.

My Rating: 4 Stars

I enjoyed the book and I plan to read it again one day. I have to be honest though, the reason that I did not give this book five stars is because I did eventually grow tired of Charlottes outrageous behavior. However I found the story humorous and did find myself having to smother my laughs while reading it next to my sleeping husband.

A fun, light-hearted read. If you dont expect anything too serious, youll find it highly enjoyable.

Many thanks to Waterbrook Multnomah Publishers for providing me with a complimentary copy of this book for review purposes.
