I gave this book two stars because the mystery involved completely eluded me, although by the end of the book I realized a subtle hint of who the murderer really was was given earlier. Plus, when one murder was attempted it was like opening the door to your mother and having her plunge a knife into you. That's how much of a shock the scene was. So it was worth at least two stars.

On the other hand, the author's numerous pages of lesbian love encounters was tiresome---at least to me---and, quite frankly, is not exactly---as the Brits would say---my cup of tea.

The description of the next novel in this series indicates more of the same, so this book is the end of the series for me.
