Grade 4-6 Once again Chip Mitchell, eighth-grade computer genius, animal lover and general boy wonder, is featured in ten mystery stories which young readers can solve if they read carefully. Children who enjoy Sobol's "Encyclopedia Brown" mysteries (Morrow) should enjoy this book, one of a series which is similar except that Chip has a robot and a computer and works freelance, not with a pint-sized detective agency. Libraries in which the two previous Chip Mitchell books (Lodestar) are popular or that have an insatiable demand for solve-them-yourself mystery stories should purchase this one.
