BeautifulCopy! I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The Howard sisters are very interesting. Each one of them brings something warm to the table. Jane, the youngest never got to know their mother because her mother died after giving birth. Even though the other two sisters always remind her that she has her mother's looks and creative genes for art and cooking,Jane feels robbed of never having the chance to have a real relationship with her. Then she finds her mother's old recipe book and through these recipes that she makes, and the inscriptions that are handwritten after each recipe let's Jane really get to know her mother. She realizes the bond that they both share, thus giving Jane ideals to create more recipes. She can finally tell her older sisters that she wants a sisterly relationship and not a stand-in mother. This brings all the sisters closer. I especially loved many of the recipes and have tried some. The love of God that their father instilled in all three keeps them all going to God for everything, especially when they know that their way isn't what their father taught them. To God be the glory. I look forward to reading each book and learning more about Acorn Hill and all that goes on in this small town.
