This is the first book I've read by Nicci French and I wish I could say I liked it more. The writing itself is good enough; it's clear, easy, and not too flowery. But "Until It's Over" is overall a disappointment. I found the characters hackneyed and unpleasant, and the story has so much filler that serves no discernible purpose. The killer is revealed 2/3 of the way through the novel and there's very little suspense afterward. It's completely unclear how the police solve the crime; it almost feels like there's a chunk of the book missing that explains all that. Was not very satisfied at all with this one.
