I stumbled upon this book through my library... And I'm really glad I found it. I'm a fan of zombie stories, which is why I picked it up in the first place, but it isn't your run of the mill zombie apocalypse. There's a twist on where these undead come from and on who's fighting them. This is a young adult book, but don't let that stop you from reading it. The writing is first rate, and while yes all the characters are kids (11-17 years old) they are well developed and realistic people. The kind of friends you would want around you when things are going to hell.

Don't know if there will be any more books set in this world - it seems that there could be, but it didn't end in any sort of cliff-hanger and all questions raised were resolved - which is always nice. I hope the author does decide to, it's a great story and it would be interesting to see where he would take it.

Great writer, can't wait to read what this one has down the road...
