The information in this book was mostly common sense. I have 3 kids and was hoping for a "magic answer" for getting my kids to help around the house without complaints. However, I found that the solutions offered here were basic and did not help out at all. I also found a lot of the information somewhat dated, such as "invest in a cordless phone". While most of the information is appropriate no matter what the time period, it was basic stuff, and nothing most parents haven't already tried.
