I love this story set in 1971. For many readers Silver Bells is historical fiction, but for me it is a part of my lifeâsmall town Midwest, Viet Nam, Karen Carpenter⦠This sweet romance and story of family, sprinkled liberally with humor is a joy to read. The spiritual theme concerning God having a plan for each individual is well illustrated in Michelle's life and is as applicable in real life as it is in the story. I highly recommend it to readers who want to connect to a time in the not-so-distant past.
