The FIRST book in the award winning and well reviewed (by NYT) series. I was really drawn into the leading character Bill Slider as well as his partner Atherton. You really care about these policeman and what is happening in their lives and they show real concern for the victim, a lonely, lovely young violinist. I cant wait to read the next one.
