Within the first ten pages I found myself belly laughing out loud. Unfortunately this is not intended to be a comedy. The second book in Terry's Nephilim Series skips forward to the tragic 9/11 terrorism event in NYC. Right off the bat the villain's descriptions are dripping with over the top comic book simplification of good vs. evil. The evil Taliban members have black eyes, and stale dialogue that is highly unlikely, etc... It just came across to me as over top corny. When I finished laughing I decided I would pass it on.
