I only glanced at this book, having obtained it as an added on book along with the wished for book. It is sure to disappear within a day when I leave it in the lobby of the VA Hospital (many readers).
This is a detailed book without illustrations and includes more than the recipes. The characteristics of honey based on bees that feed mostly on catsclaw, horsemint, and many other plants merit a short chapter. The author is enthusiastic and has some upbeat chapter titles such as 'vegetables with a difference' and 'main dishes to treasure.'
"Honey is an excellent sweetener for bread, because it improves both the flavor and keeping quality. Homemakers may not be aware that they can use honey in place of sugar in their own favorite recipes by substituting equal amounts of honey for sugar."
The 21st C. problem of fake and adulterated honey was not a problem when this was published.
