I really wanted to like this happy ending with kids, but the big problem the couple has to overcome is of the hero's own making, the single mom poverty was frustrating, and some of the hero's interactions with the kids didn't seem real. If you're okay with gritty reality in your "escape" reads this will probably work for you. If you prefer the almost perfect small town setting give this one a pass.
