How many of you read a devotional every day? I wasn't really doing that until just recently I started reading one with my Bible devotions in the morning. I kind of like the idea of getting something to read and it gives you a little idea or new aspect to think about and ponder through your day. There are ones that cater to different readers and this new one I received for review is entitled, Where God Finds You. This one is 40 devotions that help to bring Biblical characters to life. It could be read by anybody and I found it to be quite interesting. Read on for my thoughts.

Anita Higman is an author who I have previously enjoyed but I had only read her fiction books. Well, this book has brought me to a new respect for this lady. I have only had this book for about a week and I have thoroughly enjoyed reading and getting to know more about Biblical characters. No, she doesn't bring up things that aren't true, but as you read and reflect on one person for a couple days, you get a new look at them. I have seen it before with a fiction book based on a Bible character and I felt that way with this devotional.

Out of the ones I have read, I have an absolute favorite. The first one is about the woman who was healed when she touched Jesus' cloak. When you really think about all this woman had gone through and how she must have felt, to just touch his robe and be healed? What a miracle!! Just imagine it was you who had been sick and diseased all your life. And then you get the chance to see a healer and all the people crowding around and you just barely touch his robe. And then the miracle of Him turning to ask who had touched Him. Absolutely amazing.

For those of you who want to connect with the Bible in a great way, this is an excellent help to doing that. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading it and will continue to do so next year.

I received a copy of this book for review purposes. I did not receive any monetary compensation. All thoughts are 100% mine.
