Lila Ridgefield lives in Ithaca, New York, with her husband, School Teacher Aaron Ridgefield. They been arguing a lot and their marriage is currently on a downward slide. One morning there is a knock on Lila's door. She is told Aaron is missing. There is no sign of him, his car, or his cellphone. It seems that over the past couple of years, three people have disappeared without a trace. The police are asking Lila lots of questions. It's clear she is their number one suspect. It's also clear that Lila is not worried about her husband's disappearance.

It's very hard to review this book without giving away some plot twists. I'll just say that the story was full of unlikeable characters, including Lila and Aaron. The explanation at the end of the story was just dumb. I listened to the audiobook and found it hard to follow since the timeline jumps all over the place (two weeks ago, then current time, then seven months ago, etc.). The narrator, Xe Sands, was just OK. All of the characters seemed to sound alike. My rating: 2 Stars.
