This book was a bit confusing starting out. There are a lot of characters that get thrown at you at once, as well as different groups and organizations. I know this is a bit of a problem with any first book though.

Once you catch on though it turns into a book that is hard to put down. There are some very memorable and likeable characters as well as some of those characters that you just love to hate. I also enjoyed the differences that made this story a bit of a fresh take on the whole vampire genre. Vampires, shifters and demons. What more can you ask for?

A very good first novel by a new author and I will definitely be buying the next in the series.
