Samhain's slogan is "It's all about the story" and LW's Truth and Consequences is good evidence of that. The story, itself, is well developed and the main characters garner attention right from the get go. And there's plenty of Romance and plenty of sex, if that's what you're looking for (but this isn't an erotic title, so keep that in mind if you decide to give this one a chance). Even after I finished the book, I still had the characters in my head days later :)

On the downside, it's entirely too short, so much so that the story almost seems shallow. Everything seems to happen too quickly --H and h meet, are attracted, face conflict, have tense moments, resolve conflict, HEA. And the Suspense LW seems to be trying to build, never really makes it presence known (I'm never on the edge of my seat, never biting my nails in worry etc..) A couple more chapters would give LW a chance to really delve into the story (and into her characters histories) and bring the action to a slow boil which would have taken this from just good to freaking fantastic.

But despite the lacking length this is easily one of Samhain's better titles and I'm looking more from Ms Winfree.
