Third book in the Cabot Sisters series. Enjoyed books one and two immensely, but this was a disappointment! It just kind of plodded along. Prudence and the American scoundrel meet on a stage coach, and by page 200 they still haven't reached their destination...Also, I couldn't get into Pru's character. She's too weak and keeps flipping about, changing her mind, making promises to herself and then breaking them two or three pages later. Many of the events seem contrived--you can see them coming and figure what will happen next. Not too many surprises here!
Although I'm an avid reader, I quit reading it on page 206. Still 139 pages left, but I'm going to cut my losses and move onto another book.
