Absolutely Shocking!

Richard dEvreux could not believe the turmoil that his unexpected reappearance in Devon createdor the fact that it would ultimately lead to tragedy involving his father. Eleanor went to Devon to marry her betrothed, William, Lord of Wenfrithand received the shock of her life when she discovered that her intended husband wasdead!

Now Eleanor needed a husband, and Richard needed an heir. It would have been a perfect marriage of convenienceexcept for the fact that though they seemed destined for each other, they also seemed destined for danger.
