not just another parenting book - this will absolutely make you think in a different way about your role as parent. Chapter one may be tough when you are asked to examine how much of an ambassador of god to your child you are, rather than merely his earthly owner. The rest of the book is enlightening and chock full of good stuff - Deep stuff - that applies to basically every area of your life, not only your parenting. The author is careful to Not be condemnatory - the book is meant for his use as well as any other parent or person - and his kids are all grown up. EXcellent gift idea. Not beyond the grasp of a Newbie, but also totally delicious to a seasoned Christian
