MY REVIEW: If you love the t.v. series Monk for its humor, you will like the book. Almost every page has a "Monk Moment" or some sort of witty thought.

Also, this particular one gives you more of a feel for how Natalie feels. But I did find the constant "Monk-ness" almost too much. It seemed like the author was trying too hard. It seemed Monk was MORE Compulsive than the TV series portrays him (Hard to imagine, I know) and I got irritated at his quirks like Captain Stottlemeyer.

But if you are a die-hard fan, or just looking for a fairly light murder mystery read, this is the book for you.

DESCRIPTION ON BACK:

At a convention for the cult science fiction show "Beyond Earth," Adrian Monk meets fans as obsessive-compulsive as he is. Thought he's not preoccupied with the program, Monk can understand the phenomenon. Who wouldn't want to live in an imaginary world?

But there may be a killer in the "Beyond Earth" community: Someone in a starship uniform has gunned down the show's legendary creator. Could a fan be THAT furious at him for selling out to Hollywood? Or is more going on behind the scenes?

Luckily, Monk's agoraphobic brother, Ambrose, is an expert on the TV series. Together they'll search the earth and beyond for the murderer. That is, IF Ambrose can bring himself to leave the house.
