PASSIONATE WAGER
The chit was newly arrived from the country, and she'd already had the effrontery to view nude male Greek statues without even blinking an eyelash! At twenty-three, artist and bluestocking Alexandra Chilton was as good as on the shelf. Besdies, she was well-night certain no man was worth the shackles of marriage. Then she met Sebastian, Earl of Branford, London's most notorious rake, a dangerous man determined to win her favors by any means necessary...

Bored and restless, Sebastian wandered into the gaming room at White's and accepted the Earl of Hammerton's challenge: five hundred pounds to seduce the forward filly Alexandra Chilton. Unaware he'd been set up as a pawn by the scheming Hammerton, Branford pursued the artless innocent who brazenly challenged his intellect. Suddenly it was no longer a game, as passion flared and scandal threatened to follow. Unaware of Hammerton's true motives, Sebastian fought to keep Alexandra from disgrace - even as she awakened his jaded heart to a breathtaking love.

Review: Andrea Pickens is one of my favorite Regency authors and this book is no exception. It has been on my keepers shelf for a while but I'm clearing it out for others to share.
