Building a Family is the final book in Lyn's New Friends Street trilogy. The series is based on building three Habitat for Humanity houses. I enjoyed the interplay between Eleanor and Pete. Adoption/foster parenting as a single parent, forgiveness, extreme feminism, "chosen" family members, and the effects of divorce on the entire family are all themes included in Building a Family. If you're looking for a quick, sweet read during the busy holiday season, this may be the book for you.
