Book Review of Piercing the Darkness (Darkness, Bk 2)

Piercing the Darkness (Darkness, Bk 2)

Peretti takes common folklore of angels and demons and creates a world where they are almost tangible. The activities of humans (prayer) help the angels in their fight against demons, and the negativity of humans helps the demons. I absolutely love how he brought the spiritual and physical realms together.

This book is slow at first, but picks up about three-fourths of the way through. The build-up is well-worth the wait for the conclusion.

This novel and "This Present Darkness" are my favorites by Peretti, and I really wish he would write more with this concept. The other few I've read are good, but not as riveting as these two.
