It continues the adventures of the Voyager crew once they return home. Chakotay is now Captain and tom paris his first officer. the rest of the crew is scattered all over but come back together over the course of the book.

The plot revolves around two different stories that come together. the first is Starfleets close examination of Voyager while it was in the Delta quadrant. the second is about how B'elanna's daughter might signal some kind of a Klingon Apocalypse.

The highest compliment i can give this book is that i dont really like the show. its my least favorite TREK show. but i enjoyed this book alot more than i thought i would. if your a star trek fan or even better a voyager fan, give it a shot!
