This book is kind of hard to describe, really. Our family read a chapter a night aloud leading up to Christmas and enjoyed it very much. Full of feeling and memories of gentler Christmases, memories of loved family and friends, experiences that were good or challenging (such as Christmases spent overseas in WWII), but always leading to something else along the way, this one is a real heart warmer.
