This book is a departure from the style of writing that I have been reading but, I enjoyed it. I liked the first person narrative and liked that it was told from a backward looking prospective of Mac telling her story.
I was somewhat under the impression that it was a paranormal romance maybe that was just my mistake. There was however no romance and I was a little disappointed because Jericho Berrons definately makes me think romance.
It was well written and intriging it kept me entertained and turning pages. I will say that the classes of the light/dark seelie/unseelie could possibly be confusing but, I have also read Laurell K. Hamilton's Fae series which uses the same mythology and was familar with it so I'm not sure if someone who wasn't would want more background or if it would be unimportant. Good action, could be considered a paranormal coming of age story.
