There is nothing so strange as the truth. A government official takes a deposition from a reporter about her acquaintance with a scientist in the late 1930s: interesting interviews (we arent told why up-front); boring flashback details of their meetings in England and Central Europe. Finally back to 1946 with the government still chasing the scientist who is now in a psychiatric he-hab facility. Can our lovely writer rescue him from his haunts? The solution to his haunts will be unexpected (maybe); resolution remains in the minds of the reader.
