I dont like sappy endings, good thing it was only about 8 pages at the end. AND SAPPY, but this is a Christmas themed coffee book, so maybe I should cut it some slack.

The whole mystery was fun, and multilayered. I wasnt sure who the murderer was until of course the trite twist of the Main Character Cosi, getting it wrong and befriending and trusting the murder. Not a spoiler, at all most cozy mystery readers know this trick and see it coming.

Nothing special about the coffee this time. This book was more about the Christmas cookies, and goodies.

I just loved how Mike Quinn even though he is in DC, can help Cosi with intel, and add a unexpected deeper twist to the murder victims life. So the writers do know how to write a mystery, but not so much sappy love endings.

I also wanted to mention that books 13 and 14 before this one and really I see now it didnt matter. This book 12 did not have any life events that were important to book 13 or 14. So if you wanted to skip it you could. I wouldnt, but I did have to go back and read it when I found time. Off to WAIT for book 15.
