Elizabeth Adler has been a favorite author of mine for many years, but unfortunately, this wasn't one of her best. The plot was contrived, trying too hard to be contemporary and modern, but failing miserably. Vivi and JC, raised by their middle aged aunt Fen Dexter, are living and working in San Francisco. There is a serial killer who is abducting and murdering girls in the area, who becomes fixated on Vivi as his next victim. There are so many hints as to who the killer is, you figure it out from nearly the first chapter. There are lots of descriptions in quotes, trying to reach milennials, which seem very contrived.
