A light, shallow fantasy read. These are very surface books aimed at a reader with no discerning taste.
That is not a bad thing :-) We all need light brainless books to read every once in awhile and these 3 stories tell a great tale. You don't have to worry about getting bogged down with the characters, you simply swing along for the adventures, and adventures there be, in spades.
From warring drow, to undead, to Underdark horrors, to goblins, giants, other plane beings, to kind elves, to little human boys and girls, Drizz't meets them all. Great escapism reading.
