This book wist and turns.It is a great mystery. In 1945 after the war Louisa goes back to Germany to get her orphaned cousin Elisabeth who is about 13 tears old and the lone survivor of her family. She finds many surprises in Germany. She sees that God has protected her from evil people in her midst and she almost married one of them before she went to America. And had she not married Robert she would have been called back to Germany to testify and asa former member of the Resistance would she have came out alive.
