A licensed companion has been killed. NYC police lieutenant Eve Dallas is on the case. Pressure to solve it is coming from the grandfather of the victim, who happens to be a U.S. Senator. The number one suspect of the crime is Irish billionaire Roarke, who Eve is drawn to even though she keeps telling herself not to get involved with him. The murderer has left a note that there will be five more murders. Time is running out.

This is the first book in the Eve Dallas series and it was excellent romantic suspense. The characters are well-drawn and the story has a great plot. It's a great start to this series. My rating: 5 Stars.
