Book Review of The Christian Handbook: An Indispensable Guide to All Things Christian

The Christian Handbook: An Indispensable Guide to All Things Christian

Humorous but useful, this is an easy-to-read, slightly irreverent but valuable resource for Christians.

Each page or two covers a different topic. Some of the topics are silly and meant as jokes, such as "how to avoid getting fed to lions" and "what to bring to a church picnic". However, the majority of the topics are serious and include advice on prayer, how to build a relationship with God, selecting a church, coping with grief and how to maintain a Christian marriage. There are plenty of diagrams describing different denominations, comparing Bible translations, identifying verses by type and so forth, as well as lots of maps and charts.

New Christians, people who want to learn a little about the religion and those who want a reference will find this guide a good one. There is plenty of practical information as well as a few jokes for light-hearted moments.
